Following on from the success and positive feedback from last year’s Tenant Conference, we are planning the 2023 conference along similar themes from that of the previous.
We will host a series of exhibitors providing information about their services, supported as ever by Radius staff, with a series of presentations and seminars on topics that are at the heart of our services.
There will be opportunities to get involved and provide feedback in Q&A and breakout sessions followed by a meal to celebrate getting together and sharing our experiences.
Watch this space, in the next few weeks, for the announcement of the date and venue so you can put it in your diary!
The Best Kept Garden Award is open to all gardens within Radius communities.
Are you part of a Radius Community with a beautiful outdoor area which could be anything from a communal garden to a limited space, such as a yard, balcony, or a windowsill with pots, plants and hanging baskets?
The Best Kept Garden Award is an opportunity for green-fingered gardeners and admirers who would like to showcase all the hard work that goes into these spaces.
We want to hear if your garden space is involved in projects such as the Green Flag Awards, the NI Amenity Council or Radius Community Chest - now is the time to nominate for Best Kept Garden!
Communal Garden Category
For those with communal gardens, we want to know if tenants participate in gardening activities such as a gardening club, have partnered with external groups or have received funding for gardening projects.
Individual Garden Category
If you or a neighbour takes pride in their garden, we want to see how you/they have creatively maximised outdoor spaces - everything from windowsills and hanging baskets to containers and bedding!
Nomination Process
Please send your completed nomination form to tenant.engagement@radiushousing.org by 12 pm on Friday 30th June 2023.
This year, the judging will be based on the following criteria:
Entries for consideration must be made via the online application form for gardens wishing to be judged in the Communal or Individual Garden categories.
Applicants should complete and send the entry form to tenant.engagement@radiushousing.org before the closing date of 12 pm on 30th June.
On receipt, a panel of judges will consider all applications and based on the content of each entry, and after deliberation, will then shortlist and notify shortlisted nominations who will receive a visit by the judges to see the gardens in person and make final judgement deciding who the Overall Best Kept Garden and Runner Up is for the Communal and Individual Garden categories.
In every case, the judges' decision will be considered as final, notifications made, and that no further correspondence shall be entered into.
