Clúid Housing is an award winning, not-for-profit charity providing over 6500 affordable, high quality homes to people in housing need. Established in 1994, Clúid has grown to become the largest approved housing body (AHB) in Ireland.

AHBs are independent, not-for-profit charities that provide affordable high quality housing for people who cannot afford to buy their own home or pay for private rented housing. There are currently nearly 69,000 households on local authority waiting lists for social housing. At a time of a growing need for social housing, Clúid’s work has never been more important.

Although Clúid is a not-for-profit charity, our team knows it is essential that we operate efficiently and effectively and ensure that our financial stewardship is of the highest standard. Acting in this way enables us to maintain financial sustainability and achieve our social objectives. All profits generated by Clúid are reinvested back into the organisation in order to further our social mission. This innovative model – a pairing of business and charity – creates a unique and highly effective response to housing need in Ireland today.
