Radius Housing with Care

We are experienced and knowledgeable about dementia through our housing with care services. At Radius, we see the person and not their dementia. We actively encourage our residents to express their personality. Each resident has their own tailored care plan, which reflects their tastes, interests and individual care needs, and where possible they remain in control of their affairs. We aim to prolong our residents' cognitive and mental skills through a range of daily activities, which enable them to exercise their minds and bodies. This not only engages them but also provides an ideal opportunity for them to socialise. We understand that it is not only the person with dementia that is affected by the diagnosis; it's their family, friends and carers as well. We will offer you the support you need as your loved one progresses through their diagnosis. Our staff continue to build on their knowledge of dementia and aim to use best practices wherever possible. They attend structured training to help them provide the best and most appropriate care and support for people with dementia. The team at Fold are dedicated to enhancing the lives of all the residents.

Hemsworth Court

Hemsworth Court is an multi-award winning supported housing facility for people living with dementia who wish to live independently in their own home. Tenants are encouraged and assisted to live as independently as possible in apartments especially designed to allow a partner, or carer, to live with the tenant in their own home at Hemsworth Court - our multi-award winning partnership scheme with the Belfast Trust who provide 24 hour support accordingly to each tenants individually assessed needs. It offers modern, supported housing with associated communal facilities for people living with dementia who wish to live independently.

Hemsworth Court is more than just a building. It is also about the community aspect of life, social inclusion, wellbeing and quality of life. The Lower Shankill area in which Hemsworth is located is now Dementia Friendly with training provided by the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friendly programme to empower local people and businesses to understand and support those struggling with cognitive problems.
