Residents of Drumcor Court, Newtownabbey, were treated to an afternoon of fun and music by local group SPARK today.
The group of 10 young volunteers from local churches came to the scheme today (Thursday 14th August) along with Thomas Hogg, Lord Mayor of Newtownabbey, to sing a selection of songs with the residents, provide some drama and dancing, and enjoy some refreshments. There was even time for a game of Countdown and a quiz.
SPARK also surprised the residents by transforming the patio area with new plants and varnishing benches.
Sheena Storm, Scheme Co-Ordinator for Drumcor Court, said "the residents of Drumcor all had a fantastic afternoon, SPARK were thoroughly entertaining and we were delighted to host them. They are more than welcome to come back anytime".
