Radius’ residents in fine form at Tenant's Forum
12th April 2019
More than 600 tenants from Radius Housing’s accommodation for over 55's participated in the annual Tenant Forums this week. The Tenant Forums, which took place over four days, saw tenants receive recognition for their achievements while enabling tenants to connect with staff and share their experiences.
style="line-height:14pt;">Across the four events in Coleraine, Belfast and Armagh, tenants heard from Radius Housing Chief Executive, John McLean, Director of Communities, Eileen Patterson as well as speakers from the PSNI on how to stay safe from fraudsters and from AWARE NI on coping with mental health issues. The highlight of the Forums was the Scheme Awards, presented to individuals and schemes for their contributions to the areas in which they live. The award categories included Best Kept Garden, Community Pride, Good Neighbour, Healthy Living & Learning and a Special Recognition.
Speaking at the tenant forums, John McLean, Chief Executive of Radius Housing, said “At Radius we value our tenants above all else, and it is important that we recognise the role they play in building strong and cohesive communities in the local area. Each year, our Tenant Forums are seeing more participants and more exceptional stories of the work they are doing in their local areas.
“With more than x tenants in our over 55's accommodation, we have many wonderful characters and inspiring people. Their participation in our Forums helps make them informative and entertaining, and talking with them at events like this helps us provide improved services to them. We are grateful to all our tenants who attended, and to the PSNI and our charity partner, AWARE, whose contributions were well received by our tenants.”
