Radius Housing completes new homes in Coalisland

New tenants move in to 28 homes at Barrack Street in the town

The last of 28 tenants have moved in to new homes in Radius Housing’s newest development at Barrack Street, Coalisland. The new homes, which were built by J&A Developments, are a mix of 2 and 3 bedroom houses, are the latest in a series of new housing developments completed by the housing association this year.

Radius is working towards their target of 400 new homes each year, adding to the 12,500 homes they own and manage across Northern Ireland.

Speaking as the keys were handed over to the new tenants, Anita Conway, Radius Housing’s Director of Development, said “We are delighted to see all these new tenants move into their new homes at Barrack Street. Not only has J&A Developments delivered 28 new homes of the highest quality, they have completed the project well within their timescales. As a leading provider of homes, Radius want to ensure the contractors we work with aim for the highest standards, and J&A have matched our ambitions.

“This area of Coalisland has considerable housing waiting lists, and these new homes will go some way to tackle this, providing family homes to meet the needs of the local community. Alongside these homes, Radius will continue to work in the local area to help is prosper. We hope all our new tenants will enjoy their new homes, and Radius is looking forward to building even more high- quality new homes across Northern Ireland.”

The Barrack Street development consists of 14 5person 3 bed houses and 14 3 person 2 bed houses, and was completed over three phases by J&A Developments.
