Helping hand for Tyrone house buyers with launch of new affordable homes

16 Apr 2018

Radius Housing has released 11 new homes for sale at affordable prices at the new Earls Court development in Dungannon, Co Tyrone. The homes are part a mixed-tenure housing development, which includes properties for sale prices pitched for first time buyers and families, alongside social housing.

The official opening of the new show house, which was attended by local elected representatives and community representatives, took place as the homes come on the market.

Radius has invested almost £7million in developing Earls Court which will consist of 49 homes when completed. New tenants have already taken up residence in the first 17 homes, while the latest phase includes the 11 turn-key properties which are now for sale. These include five 4-bedroom and six 3-bedroom houses.

Earls Court is among the first of our new mixed tenure housing projects being developed by Radius Housing. Our first included 20 homes built at Rathgill in Bangor and some of the 244 homes expected to be built at the Visteon site in Belfast will also be affordable homes. Radius Housing announced a £50 million finance package earlier last week will support our ambitious development plans to construct 400 new homes every year between now and 2020.

Speaking at the official opening of the show house, Anita Conway, Director of Development at Radius, said: “We are delighted that the latest phase of Earls Court is now completed and that 11 beautiful new homes, finished with exquisite contemporary design are now available for families and first time buyers.

“While social housing is a key part of what we do, at Radius we also recognise that providing affordable housing for first-time buyers is an equally important way to build and strengthen communities. We focus on the construction of contemporary homes built to the highest quality available for sale at prices which are affordable. It is important we play our part in improving access to housing for all those who wish to live in a happy, modern and safe home.”

Co-Ownership Chief Executive Mark Graham added: "We''re delighted to be involved in the Earl''s Court development with Radius Housing and hope that we can help more people into home ownership in the Dungannon area. Mixed tenure sites are a great way to provide a range of affordable housing options in an area where there is a significant need for new housing supply. We hope to be involved in more schemes like this in the future."

The Earls Court show house will open for Sunday leisure viewing from Sunday the 22nd of April between 2pm and 4pm. For more information contact the Maneely and Co Ltd on 028 8772 7799.
