Fold Housing Association announced the total, £62,000 raised for corporate charity partner -Alzheimer’s Society at its recent Culture Night Tea Dance.
Fold, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, has committed to a two-year programme of activities and support across the organisation in aid of the charity.
Fiona McAnespie, Director of Care Services said “Over the past 20 months, tenants, staff and friends of Fold have taken part in a wide range of activities some of which include running marathons, sponsored walks, car boot sales, charity baking days, Come Dine with Me evenings and quizzes. New challenges have been set for staff and tenants which have seen personal goals being broken. We are thrilled and amazed with the funds raised to date.”
Richard Gilliland, Senior Regional Corporate Executive, Alzheimer’s Society said, “The monies raised by Fold Housing Association will go a long way in helping to fund vital services in Down and surrounding areas. It will allow us to support people living with dementia and help with providing care for today and finding a cure for tomorrow.”
