The Consumer Council and Radius Housing have teamed up to host a Friday Funday on 23 August 2019 from 10am to 1pm.
The event, taking place at Rose Street in Belfast, will include a variety of fun games to educate children and parents on their consumer rights, and help promote awareness of how The Consumer Council can help families with their household budget and avoiding scams.
There will also be competitions, prizes, quizzes, light refreshments, and goody bags to keep everyone entertained. It’s going to be a fun and educational day for the whole family.
Ronan Convery at The Consumer Council said, “We are delighted to host this event with Radius Housing to educate, inform and empower consumers about their rights. This event will bring people together to socialise, learn, and have fun. For those unable to attend, The Consumer Council also has a number of educational resources available online or on request.”
Ursula Maye, Area Housing Manager at Radius Housing, added: “Following the recent handover of the final phase of properties in Springfield Road, Springfield Avenue and Rose Street area, we are excited to be holding this year’s tenant event fun and information day in this new housing development. There will be lots of activities for the kids to enjoy. Housing and Tenant Engagement staff will also be available to speak with tenants about a range of tenancy and community related subjects and will provide advice and guidance. In addition, there will be information provided by our event partner, The Consumer Council and other community based organisations.”
