Radius Housing Association thanks public for donations of food and gifts
Press Release - December 2018
Radius Housing Association has thanked the generosity of tenants, staff and the general public who donated toys, food and other essential items to their Christmas Family Appeal.
The annual appeal calls for donations of food, vouchers and presents to support the work of the Trussell Trust Foodbank in Bangor, Foyle Food Bank in Derry and Storehouse in Belfast, three organisations who work with families and individuals in their local areas. Donations this year included everything from toys for kids to festive hampers.
Grainne Mullin, Community Investment Manager, said: “At Radius we understand the pressures some families feel over the Christmas period, particularly with the implementation of Welfare Reform across the province. With our annual Christmas Family Appeal we aim to do a bit more to help. This year we have seen incredible generosity from the whole Radius team, from our tenants and from the wider public in the donations and gifts they have brought. We have been able to support the amazing work of the Trussell Trust Food bank, Foyle Food Bank and Storehouse. Hopefully, these generous donations will help to make Christmas a little better for families locally.”
